IPAF MEWPS for Managers

IPAF MEWPs for Managers training provides essential knowledge for those responsible for planning, supervising, and managing the safe use of Mobile Elevating Work Platforms. Delivered in line with guidance from the International Powered Access Federation, the course focuses on legal responsibilities, risk management, and the correct selection of equipment for different tasks and environments. It is designed to help managers make informed decisions that prioritise safety and compliance.

IPAF Operator 1b, 3a & 3b (e-learning at home) plus Practical on-site

This qualification is based upon the learner successfully completing e-learning at home and then bringing proof of completion and pass with them to the practical assessment.

IPAF Spotter

An e-learning course to provide the information required to safely assist MEWP operators in situations where the risk is higher then usual.

NRSWA Operative LA, O1 to O6 & O8

The full 5 day NRSWA Street Works Operative course is for anyone who wants to undertake physical work in accordance with the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991. Delegates are required to demonstrate their competence in safe methods of excavation, backfill and reinstatement of modular, flexible and composite surfaces and concrete footways and location and avoidance of underground utilities.

SA001 Overhead Safety including Joint User Poles

SA001 Overhead Safety 3-Day Course This qualification covers three modules: Overhead Safety, Pole checking and Joint user Poles. It provides learners with the knowledge and skills to make them aware of the hazards and potential risks involved in working safely on ladders and wooden poles in a telecommunications environment.

SA001a Overhead safety awareness

This is an awareness ONLY course and can be delivered in person or online, it does not include climbing or any practical element. This course provides learners with the knowledge and skills of the hazards and potential risks involved in working safely on ladders and wooden poles in a telecommunications environment.

SA002 Underground Safety 1-Day Course

This accreditation covers Gas Testing and Cover Lifting. It provides learners with the knowledge and skills to identify the hazards and potential risks involved in working safely on or in proximity to underground structures and operational buildings.

SA003 Safe Use of Respiratory Protective Equipment

This course covers one module: Safe Use of Respiratory Protective Equipment. It provides learners with the skills and knowledge of selection and use of adequate and suitable Respiratory Protective Equipment (RPE) in the workplace, in order to comply with the law. This course covers one module: Safe Use of Respiratory Protective Equipment.

SA004 Safe Use of Abrasive Wheels

1/2 day course in the safe use of abrasive wheels including stihl saw

SA005 Safe Moving and Handling (Manual Handling)

A half-day course in the principles and practices of safe manual handling

SA006 Safe Working in Civils (1.5 days)

This accreditation ensures that individuals working in the civils aspects of network construction and maintenance are suitably trained and understand the dangers of working in this environment.

SA007 Asbestos Awareness

This accreditation provides learners with an essential foundation in relevant matters of asbestos awareness. It is suitable for candidates who already work in the construction or utilities industries or candidates looking to work in construction or the utilities.

SA011 Locate and Clear Blockages

This accreditation assesses a learner’s ability to work effectively in a construction utility environment. Learners will be able to demonstrate safe methods for locating and clearing blockages in the telecoms utility pipe networks when working on utilities infrastructure.

SA015 Duct Laying

The purpose of this accreditation is to provide learners with the necessary information to understand and demonstrate the requirements for duct laying and slewing in the telecoms utility pipe networks

SA016 Core Drilling

This course covers core drilling into telecommunications jointing chambers in accordance with industry standards.

SA020 Working safely in single & multiple dwelling units (MDU)
