The NPORS Forward Tipping Dumper training course is designed to provide operators with the knowledge and practical skills required to safely operate dumpers on construction and utilities sites. Accredited by the NPORS, this course ensures candidates are trained to a recognised industry standard, helping to promote safety, efficiency, and compliance on site.

The training covers all key aspects of dumper operation, including pre-use inspections, safe driving techniques, loading and unloading materials, and working on uneven or challenging terrain. Candidates learn how to identify hazards such as ground conditions, overhead obstacles, and site traffic, as well as how to implement control measures to reduce risks during operation.

A strong focus is placed on safe working practices, including correct tipping procedures, maintaining stability, and preventing overturning. Learners are also taught how to operate within site rules, communicate effectively with other workers, and follow safe systems of work to minimise accidents and improve productivity.

On completion, candidates must pass both a theory test and a practical assessment to demonstrate their competence. Successful learners receive an NPORS operator card, confirming their ability to safely operate a forward tipping dumper and supporting compliance with health and safety requirements across the construction and infrastructure industries.
