IPAF 3b Training

Our IPAF 3b training course is designed to give operators the skills and confidence to safely use mobile boom MEWPs (Mobile Elevating Work Platforms), including both telescopic and articulating boom lifts. Accredited by the International Powered Access Federation, this course combines essential theory with hands-on practical training to ensure full understanding of safe working at height.

The 3b category covers self-propelled boom lifts that can be driven while elevated. The IPAF 3b course is typically completed in one day, depending on experience levels. Candidates will complete both a theory test and a practical assessment to demonstrate their competence in operating the equipment safely. The theory can be completed in advance from home via e-learning if suitable equipment nd conditions exist.

Upon successful completion, delegates will receive an IPAF PAL Card (Powered Access Licence), valid for five years. This certification is widely recognised across the UK and internationally as proof of operator competence and is valid for 5-years.
