We deliver Confined Space Training at our North West Training Centre. Each course meets UK confined spaces regulations. In addition, every course includes a practical assessment in a National Category (NC4) space.

Our Low-Risk confined space training targets personnel working in low-risk environments. These include areas with easy entry, good ventilation, and minimal risk. For example, this includes shallow chambers, meter pits, and staircase enclosures. We cover gas detection, safe entry and exit, and emergency procedures. As a result, learners meet legal compliance requirements. The course takes one day.

Our Medium Risk Confined Space Training (CABWI, City & Guilds, or Smart Awards) prepares workers for controlled risk environments. For entrant-only roles, we cover hazard identification, risk assessment, and safe entry procedures. We also include gas monitoring, communication, PPE use, and emergency procedures. In addition, entry controllers learn to supervise entry points and manage permit systems. They also monitor external conditions and maintain communication. Furthermore, they control site access and coordinate emergency arrangements. We deliver these qualifications through City & Guilds, CABWI, and Smart Awards. City & Guilds offers qualifications across many industries. In contrast, CABWI focuses on the water and utilities sector.

Our High Risk Confined Space Training prepares workers for environments with serious atmospheric hazards. In these cases, workers must use breathing apparatus. Therefore, this course builds on medium risk training. We cover breathing apparatus use, inspection, and maintenance. In addition, we include gas detection and atmospheric monitoring. We also cover advanced risk assessments and safe systems of work. Furthermore, we address team roles, communication, and emergency planning. Finally, we teach practical rescue techniques. We offer these qualifications through City & Guilds and CABWI. As a result, CABWI aligns with water industry standards. Meanwhile, City & Guilds offers widely recognised qualifications.
